I don't think B/X is OTP, I just think it was possible at a number of points. I would've preferred that they had a romance and then became friends after that. Ple has convinced me that Buffy should be with Wes.

Essentially, yes.
I think this is pretty much why it never happened, although I am not hip with the slashy fic lingo or canon.
ETA: (Meaning canon as in the collected fic genre, not as in stuff that appeared on the show and is therefore "true")

I'm not the only one who keeps watching the reruns and still waiting for Buffy to get there in time am I? See, if Joss were really a superdupergenious, he would have shot alternate endings for every show, that all made sense and then replayed them years after the show concluded. Or that's just my sick little head going into no new Buffy withdrawl.
But the new video game is looking promising at least.
And with the unfinished business, do you think there was supposed to be more Kendra, but reaction to her was weak and the nixed her? I've always wondered that.
