Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You could do white aprons and then print the iron-on in red?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I meant to say, yay Jilli!

I ended up making Mac and cheese, which made everyone happy. I love these girls, whatever I make, they gush over. Now they're cleaning up the kitchen while ltc naps.

Ugh. I have a crush on a good friend and she's started dating someone new and is all twitterpated and I've been dealing ok with that when it's just her (because she's happy and I want her to be happy) but when they're together I'm just horribly jealous.

A couple months ago (before this started) friend planned a weekend getaway for her birthday to a place with a cabin, hot tub, lake, etc. Shes now invited girlfriend. I don't want to be with them all weekend but I don't feel like I can bail now. Aaaaaargh.

Also, last week I was at dancing and they were both there and I was trying to kind of avoid (by which I mean not stand directly next to them while they cuddle and make out) and my friend was like "why are you ignoring me? What's wrong? Did I do something?" Ugh.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ugh, that's hard, meara.

I think you can bail if you need to.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Yeah, I don't think there's anything wrong with bailing in that situation.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

meara, bail. You don't need to put yourself through that. There's no reason to voluntarily put yourself in a situation that will hurt you.

Art Crawl!!!

I'm waiting for a bus. On my way to the bus stop a random person saw me with my loaded backpack and shopping case and asked if I needed a ride.i didn't but sometimes strangers can be the nicest people.

Thrive to spite them

If you can bail then do that. Take care of yourself.

Our wings are not tired.

I agree completely on bailing. Last moment, can't do it, migraine. Or friend emergency, I'll be an alibi. I was distraught, you got caught up on the phone with me. Don't like those, we can give you dozens more outs.
