I am SO GLAD I have never heard the kimono thing at work. I would not be able to resist laughing in the person's face. And then giving them the side eye for the rest of the meeting.

Go ita!!!!!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I am SO GLAD I have never heard the kimono thing at work.

I did at the last job, from the horrible Dolores Umbridge-type manager. I raised my eyebrows and said "WHAT? EXUSE ME?"

True to form, she acted like she didn't hear me.

Go ita! That's very exciting!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Successful bike ride, woohoo! Shifted easily so I think my half-assed maintenance might be good enough and I successfully installed my new lights and phone holder beforehand. That's two workouts in one day (I swam before work) and I am not all tuckered out!

I was driving home tonight, and a thought about roads came to me. Followed by another thought, followed by a worldview, followed by characters. When I got to a stop light I scrounged for an envelope and a pen to scribble notes before they could get away.

I was afraid of what the writing would do, whether my brain wouldn't let that part free. But it's still there. And perhaps a bit stronger, with all this experience to work from.

That's great, Connie! I'm still not sure about that for myself.

And in "learning how to cook like a grown-up, baby steps edition" I discovered we do indeed have a garlic press, so I was able to add fresh garlic to the Hamburger Helper. It's weird what counts as progress.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Adding garlic is definitely progress. Full credit.

I am well aware of the joys of garlic. But I actually dared the produce section and dealt with actual plant parts instead of something from a jar or bottle. Though that jar of minced garlic in garlic juice looks promising.
