And in "learning how to cook like a grown-up, baby steps edition" I discovered we do indeed have a garlic press, so I was able to add fresh garlic to the Hamburger Helper. It's weird what counts as progress.

I am well aware of the joys of garlic. But I actually dared the produce section and dealt with actual plant parts instead of something from a jar or bottle. Though that jar of minced garlic in garlic juice looks promising.

The downside to my making-lunches-for-the-whole-week-on-Sunday ways is that I seem to have forgotten how to make one lunch for tomorrow. It just doesn't seem possible.

To be fair, I had roasted figs with goat cheese one day for lunch last week.
