Successful bike ride, woohoo! Shifted easily so I think my half-assed maintenance might be good enough and I successfully installed my new lights and phone holder beforehand. That's two workouts in one day (I swam before work) and I am not all tuckered out!
I was driving home tonight, and a thought about roads came to me. Followed by another thought, followed by a worldview, followed by characters. When I got to a stop light I scrounged for an envelope and a pen to scribble notes before they could get away.
I was afraid of what the writing would do, whether my brain wouldn't let that part free. But it's still there. And perhaps a bit stronger, with all this experience to work from.

And in "learning how to cook like a grown-up, baby steps edition" I discovered we do indeed have a garlic press, so I was able to add fresh garlic to the Hamburger Helper. It's weird what counts as progress.

I am well aware of the joys of garlic. But I actually dared the produce section and dealt with actual plant parts instead of something from a jar or bottle. Though that jar of minced garlic in garlic juice looks promising.

The downside to my making-lunches-for-the-whole-week-on-Sunday ways is that I seem to have forgotten how to make one lunch for tomorrow. It just doesn't seem possible.
I do have deviled eggs. And cheesecake. And hazelnuts. Maybe if I have enough snacks I can count that as lunch?
