"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Saw this from ita in the Bureaucracy thread. I know how thwarted she felt by her health issues, but this line made me feel a tiny bit better. She knew what a beautiful thing she had made. She knew its worth and value. An amazing legacy in itself, for all the other worlds she didn't get to conquer.

Always Anti-fascist!

MM finds comedy and truth in tragedy. every non-ita FB post on my feed has really thrown me.

Yeah, it feels like all those Buzzfeed shiticles should be like:

This Guy Did Some Re-Modeling and What He THE WORLD IS DARKER NOW, JUST FUCK THIS SHIT!

Always Anti-fascist!

Zenkitty ately I've been feeling like I needed to realign my life's priorities. There are a lot of signs along the road that say, focus on what matters. Most people don't see them. ita did. She wasn't one of those people who left undone the things she really wanted to do while she focused on things she "should" do; when she wanted to do something, it seems she just went and did it, to the best of her ability. She didn't put the special things on a list for someday. Someday was now. She didn't leave the world wishing she'd got around to taking those krav classes, or taking up drawing, or wondering what she would've looked like in a tie or a pink gingham dress or a really short blond haircut, or trying to get up the courage to move to LA. She did it. That's what I want to bring into my life from today, from my memory of ita. There's no someday. Someday is now.

And I'm crying again. Okay.

Always Anti-fascist!

edited to cite MM

Is this where we are, now? Is this the time of our lives where we...we just talk more and more about those that have...?

Well, maybe it is, but...not...not ita. It's like Superman dying. It's not real, right? It's a gimmick, it's marketing, it's just to spark our interest again...

...she'll be back, right?

I mean, yeah, we'll have to deal with a few months of itagirl, ita's clone; and Cyborg ita; Steel ita; which one is the real ita Returned? But...

But...

...

...real life sucks ass

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

For many reasons

Zenkitty:I'd like to legislate "ita's Law": If a doctor doesn't prescribe a person in pain adequate pain meds, they get a solid kick in the nads and tasered while they're down, and then two doctors stand over them, one to ask them to rate their pain on this frowny-face chart, and the other to write them a scrip for one Tylenol.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Zenkitty:

A well-written evocative piece in a major news/entertainment magazine would be really helpful, I think.

Allyson:

It's a shame we don't know any writers.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Jessica in Movies, re: Jupiter Ascending:

It's like Guardians of the Galaxy meets Dune but they don't have anything to say to each other so they just stand around awkwardly for two hours and then leave.
