Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Love the house Robin! Congratulations!

Mr. Jane and I went to have dinner last night and stopped by another bar before heading home. They had a VJ last night which just rocked. In addition to bizarre stuff I've never seen, some stuff from artists I knew but hadn't heard that song, and some brand new artists I'll be looking into. Plus, there was Oingo Boingo and Grace Jones! It was like watching MTV back in the day.

In less fun news. I had a full on Willow sweater style breakdown this morning trying to pack. I couldn't find the black suit I wore to the last 2 funerals and lost my shit. I think I'm going to go to Target at lunch and get something since now that I think about it I loathe the dress I decided to suck it up and throw in my bag this morning.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

DJ, I think some shopping therapy is definitely in order.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Even your wardrobe sees how unfair this all is.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{DJ}}} Definitely take some time for shopping therapy.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

GO ROBIN!! Yay for home-owning!

Okay, I'm going to be mememe for a second. And tacky. If you don't want to read me bitching about my ex-husband, please feel free to skip.

I hosted a couple MSP friends last night - C & B - as they're on their way to C's cousin's wedding. We had a great time, going out to dinner and the bars and hanging out. C especially was a good friend to both Z & me - he'd always come hang out & drink and watch videos and just generally be cool. After the split, he maintained friendships with both of us - not a problem. He's been moving away from Z, though, because Z is apparently becoming a giant jackhole, the kind that can't be happy for a friend unless there's something in it for him. So.

In the course of hanging out last night, I was told 3 things:

1) Z & K (Z's mistress while he was married to me) still maintain that they didn't do anything until after the divorce. This is, bluntly, bullshit, and we all know it.

2) Apparently, K was here for some conference a few months ago, and Z was going to come with her and see if he could visit with me while he was here.

3) When I was in MSP last month, he was bitching to a lot of people, saying, "what, I can't see her? Why can't I see her? I'm barred from seeing her?"

Just... OH MY GOD. FUCK. YOU. You piece of immature selfish shit. You soul-destroying, morally bankrupt ASSHOLE.

Ahem. Vented. Thank you.

The good thing is that C & B got to see my awesome apartment and meet my awesome friends and my awesome boyfriend and get a sense of my awesome, Z-free life. It is good.

Trust my rage

Everytime I think Z can't get more clueless and jackholish, he manages to do so. What is up with that man?

I'm glad, though, that you are in such a better place now.

brillig

juliana, I've always been impressed by how quickly and decisively you made the move when you finally decided that enough was enough.

Stephanie and connie, thank you. The move was really the best idea ever, even though I felt like I had no choice in the matter. Just... GAH. I can't believe I married that piece of shit.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

There were way too many comments I wanted to make about Z,but I decided that I 'll just shake my head and slap a big d'oh on his forehead. As for you Ms. J, I'll just say you might have made a mistake, but so do we all. You are recovering beautifully.
