Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Thanks everyone for the ~ma -- doggie was picked up in the course of his adventures on the mean streets and is now hanging out with his new best friends at the shelter. I am shaking my tiny fist at the animal control folk who won't release him to the hub because we don't have the same last name.

Our wings are not tired

I'm in the final cut for the job at UCI and as such I interview next week. This means about a day and a half of meeting people and various other activities. There are two big things I need to worry about, first I have to teach a class (I'm not as worried about that), second I have an hour long portfolio presentation. Now, I've got a nice body of work, but the last time I had a real portfolio was...well...years ago. So I guess in the next week I need to get this all put together. As such, some ~ma would be appreciated.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Somewhat vague request: They are "leaning toward yes". ~ma for tomorrow being the day they stop leaning, and actually say "yes".

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

As I head out to Baltimore to meet lisah and sarameg to procure some liquid confidence, I'm requesting interview~ma for later tonight. Here's hoping that I at least do well enough to score a trip out to the other Bay Area. Thanks!

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I'm arranging the catering for my state library association conference, which occurs next week. I've been dealing with various and sundry last minute emergencies, and it finally dawned on me that I should get some help in the form of the patentable buffista~ma. So, I would greatly appreciate ~ma that the food issues go smoothly. Any leftover ~ma that I don't fall on my face in the presentations, that I keep up with my regular work, and that I don't completely lose my mind would also be very greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'll be in L.A. Monday & Tuesday and would love to meet with some LAistas one of those evenings. Taking it to the F2F thread?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

OK, why am I in this thread? I totally wasn't expecting this... I think my answer was "I wasn't expecting this!" x10 ...but I have consented to becoming Bob Bob's bride. We are engaged!

Also I am drunk. I can't figure how to word this better.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Some "Let me find a for really-real job soon"~ma, please. The contract-to-hire position I found after losing my old job was just eliminated due to budget cuts, so I'm unemployed again.
