My brother passed away yesterday, surrounded by his three older sisters, his wife, son, and my husband. His health has been failing, and I had reservations to come visit all of next week, while my sister Mona was going to be flying down yesterday. Brendon told me to just come with her too. We arrived and he passed within the hour. We are grateful that he waited for us.
Gwen: Demon, OK? The whole nine—cloven feet and horns and teeth. He wasn't wearing lamé though. Lorne: Yeah, the evil ones can't pull it off. It gets camp.

Actual Mom has some additional testing after an inconclusive mammogram tomorrow. I know mostly it isn't, but she's come down on the wrong side of that before so vibes are requested. Thanks!

Speaking of mothers, mine's entered the hospice stage of things. So there's that.
She's at the apartment and the home health people will be providing assistance. My hope is that we get a month or two, but who knows at this point. This year: not the best of them.

Got some good news last night! Ellery Queen is going to buy the short-story version of "Wedded Twist" I'm not sure when it will come out and stuff--it's early going, but I hope to make more of this opportunity than the similar one I got in 2010. So I guess I can apply "If I'm so great, say Yes!" to my personal life for a while. Or my political persuasion efforts.
