I'm in the final cut for the job at UCI and as such I interview next week. This means about a day and a half of meeting people and various other activities. There are two big things I need to worry about, first I have to teach a class (I'm not as worried about that), second I have an hour long portfolio presentation. Now, I've got a nice body of work, but the last time I had a real portfolio was...well...years ago. So I guess in the next week I need to get this all put together. As such, some ~ma would be appreciated.

I'm arranging the catering for my state library association conference, which occurs next week. I've been dealing with various and sundry last minute emergencies, and it finally dawned on me that I should get some help in the form of the patentable buffista~ma. So, I would greatly appreciate ~ma that the food issues go smoothly. Any leftover ~ma that I don't fall on my face in the presentations, that I keep up with my regular work, and that I don't completely lose my mind would also be very greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If I could bogart a little of the let-it-be-nothing ~ma, that would be great. My mom is going in for a Carotid artery ultrasound on Tuesday due to some changes in her eyes that her eye doctor caught. Heart disease runs rampant in my family, and my mom is already on cholestral meds and trying to watch her weight, but she can't take blood thinners due to chronic ulcers. I'm a little scared, though I'm trying to tell myself it's nothing.
