Teppy, in Natter (no spoilers, so far as I can see, just a personal opinion):
I've never seen Alias at all, but my Buffy-watching Mom and my non-Buffy-watching stepdad watch it faithfully. After the finale, Mom e-mailed me and pronounced that (this is a direct quote): "it jumped the shark. That is the right phrase, right? Something with a shark."
Jon B., in Buffista Music 1:
They played there twice to support "All Over The Place". I missed them the first time, but then a year or so later they returned and I caught them. I was right up front and Suzanna Hoffs did this thing where she ran back and forth across the stage while playing, and looked straight into the eyes of a bunch of different audience members (including mine!). I remember that my heart and brain were having this little internal struggle:
Brain: Interesting. This is exactly what male rock guitarists do with female audience members all the time. How fascinating that Ms. Hoffs is twisting gender stereotypes.
Heart: Guhhhhh.
billytea, in Bitches, on the subject of the giant, 2000+ year old mushroom:
For myself, I have certain objections (moral and otherwise) to eating entities that predate Christianity.
ita in Natter: My dad, in his eternal quest for near nudity...
Darn. Nilly beat me to the punch.
Nutty, in Natter, on the joys of using a crappy WebTV keyboard:
Incoherent comedy is nobody's friend.
