Okay, um, I'm lost. Uh, I'm angry, and I'm armed, so if you two have something that you need to work out --

I loved it too...although (my Buffista card should be revoked for life for this) I actually thought there was one more episode, so I had to readjust everything slightly when I realised that nope, that was it.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Loved, loved, loved the ending.

Ah, so you folks finally got it? Totally agree on the loving it part. I think the NAFDA buffistas were generally very happy with it, but I'm memfaulting on whether there was an uproar with the fandom at large.

Strawberry disappointment.

I thought the end of Angel was pretty much perfect.

As for H and A. Didn't Guy Pierce, Heath Ledger and Melissa WhatshernamethatsnowinAlias all appear in it? Not bad really. (This does not consitute a defense of H and A by the way).

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

Guy Pierce, at least, was on the vastly superior Neighbours.

And yeah, the end of Angel - and I was disappointed with scads of the last few episodes - was truly, truly wonderful.

Strawberry disappointment.

By the power of imdb it would appear he appeared in both. Bet he likes to keep that quiet.

Hmmm, the one where they went to Italy was pretty rank, wasn't it? I thought some of the later episodes were pretty good though--eg the one where Connor came back (the first time). But then I lose my critical faculties when Connor is on screen.

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

The connor one rocked, but I found the Evil Smurf Fred plot incredibly talky and static and Trekesque until the last episode. And I've scooped the memory of the Italy episode out of my brain with a spoon.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I will love the Italy one for the "Ciao - ciao" moment, but the rest of it? Damn, people, we're in the home stretch. Can we not make buffoons out of our heroes?

I liked most of the final few episodes quite a bit -- by the end I was sadder than I'd expected. But they recovered a bit of the goodwill lost by the Saint!Cordy debacle.

And, ever worse - their villain? That's what rankled - playing Angelus for laughs this late in the day.
