Early: So is it still her room when it's empty? Does the room, the thing, have purpose? Or do we -- what's the word? Simon: I really can't help you. Early: The plan is to take your sister. Get the reward, which is substantial. 'Imbue.' That's the word.

International mix is good. For a vampire based story I'd love to hear the central European take on it all. Perhaps I came across to harshly when I said "offensive" I think maybe the word I needed was "ambiguous" non-native English speakers and people like me who are native, native English speakers but don't have access to all the cultural references won't necessarily read the same. Anya was being snarky when she said it after all.

I'm worried about rumours that Angel is going to end after this season cos I don't know how I'll live without my weekly dose. The more popular the boards are the more support there is for the show, and the safer S5 is.

Edit: for the record I've checked out a few places and this board is far and away the best -although Angelus is being tortured in a padded cell over at theWB which is kinda fun.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The more popular the boards are the more support there is for the show, and the safer S5 is.

I have yet to see any evidence that this is the case.

Not that I have any idea about Angel being in jeopardy or not.

Zoe- where are you? I have yet to get a geographical fix on you. (I want to know where you live....)

Angelus is being tortured in a padded cell over at theWB which is kinda fun.

Ooo- kinky with the Angel love, huh?

I keep hearing this, I'm working on the assumption that the more people love for the show the better.

I'm in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.

In that case, I'm closer to central Europe than you. (Watford, Hertfordshire, too near London for comfort, UK.)

edges south in chair, puts in plastic vampire teeth

Buffy from European view? Yes. Very good, very good.

A Scot! I grew up in Scotland, Zoe. I even went to school near Edinburgh for a couple of years. (I live in Germany now, though).

(FTR, I love the UnAmerican name, although I've never been wild about the Anya quote.)

Edit: I think I'm the Buffista closest to central Europe, being, you know, in it.

It's a remora, dimwit.

I know one person who fled this page because of the thread titles, but that was because she thought we were trashing the shows since the titles were humorous and mocking. I could understand someone reading it and being offended, but if they took the time to read the thread, they'd get that the title wasn't really indicative...hmm, this is reminding me about that whole thing about people who won't watch BtVS because they can't get past the title.

Actually, the title could seem confusing, since there are a lot of people living in America who now define themselves as un-American - in fact I often refer to myself as a member of the axle of evil. Or one could even interpret the "all ogle - no cash" as this being the thread for links to free porn.

For values of people that equal people with Nielsen boxes, sure.

None of them post here (now that Steph's excursion is done), and none of them are living outside the US.

iss gut ja?

Ja, si, muy gut.

(Behold! I can mix up European languages of which I only know three words each despite having studied them for two years in one case and three in the other! I can also do the funny German accent but when I try to do the John Cleese walk that goes with it I always fall over!)
