I'm trying to remember what I last cited as my biggest weakness.
Lazy? Addicted to the internet? Prone to migraines
and
trying to leave early for krav? Not detail-oriented?
Probably something else.
Actually, maybe the detail oriented thing, spun to make it seem like I'm a big picture person, but only for, say, non-coding jobs.
Interview question: "Why are manhole covers round?"
I confess I have used this one. It is from the Microsoft interview
barage.
"What is your favorite element on the periodic table?"
"Rock, paper or scissors?"
What's your favourite internet timesuck?
Do these pants make me look fat?
Will you need the day off to watch that Sith crap on opening day?
Have you ever posted a picture of a kitten to a blog? Or to kittenwar?
eta: How far can you make a penguin fly?
Then there's the ever-annoying question, "What is your biggest weakness?"
I hate that question. I feel like I have to make up a bullshit answer and the interviewer knows I'm going to make up a bullshit answer, so what's the point? Of course, bullshitting can be an important skill.
Do you own an action figure?
Other than Barbie or GI Joe?
Do they have children?
Of course, bullshitting can be an important skill.
Yeah, that's the only reason I can think of to ask that.
