I guess because I knew so many girls that were Xander in high School , that I really see it as more of a high school thing. And I sort of had it in college with one guy that I wanted and knew no way in hell would he want me.
But in today's news - I did not like Halloween as much as mark does on his first viewing( I love it now) There are so many shoes to drop
He's clearly devoted to her for who she is, he's got her back as a friend, doesn't think she owes him sex, just that it would be really cool if he could get it.
Yes, and when he had the mojo and Buffy came on to him, he turned her down because he knew that she didn't really want him.
It'll be interesting to see what Mark makes of Faith, and I can't wait for "The Zeppo." I wonder when Mark will notice that Xander has been abused as well.
He's noticing. Or any rate called out a couple of remarks that suggest his home life is less than ideal.
Buffy characters ranked by contribution to episode quality. I hope this statistics-nerd-heaven site isn't old news to you guys...awesome!
I'm no statistician, but I'm pretty sure number of lines per episode is not a good way to evaluate Oz's contribution to an ep's quality.
Not surprising that Dru wins this one, though.
I can't get over how confused correlation and causation are in that very premise.

That sounds so much
nicer
than my reaction of, "What the everloving fuck?" Some interesting bits and some where statistics were clearly telling lies.
Mark finally talks about Drusilla in his review of Lie to Me :
I’m not quite sure how I feel about her character just yet. She does get more depth in this episode, but even that is only told to us by Angel; all we know is that his horrific actions caused her to lose a grip on reality. It does feel weird to me that this is the only aspect to define at this point. She’s strange and awkward, and now we learn it’s all Angel’s fault.
I guess "break with reality" is as close to crazy as he is going to get to describe her. I don't get not loving her right from the very first second, and I have never thought to use the word "awkward" to describe her.

Dru is not awkward. She's mad as a box of frogs, but graceful.
