Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

"When I look at people that I would like to feel have been a mentor or an inspiring kind of archetype of what I'd love to see my career eventually be mentioned as a footnote for in the same paragraph, it would be, like, Bowie." ~Trent Reznor

Best. Game. Ever. Putting it on random means I get my ass handed to me, though.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I bought the soundtrack to Garden State this afternoon -- I can't remember the last soundtrack I've liked this much. (Though I like the Postal Service's version of "Such Great Heights" better than Iron and Wine's version, which is the one on the CD.)

Also -- I found Lost in the Grooves at Borders today! However, Borders has it categorized as a reference on classical music. It wasn't mis-shelved; the Borders central database has it in their system as a classical music reference. I asked the cashier if she could change it, and she said that the person who can do it wasn't in today. Weird.

When I looked in the rock and/or roll section for LitG (which is where I looked first, because, duh), I found a copy of Bubblegum Music is the Naked Truth, so I took it off the shelf and set it out on one of the end-of-shelf -- and more prominent -- displays.

I feel I've done my Buffista-ly duty.

This is probably my favorite soundtrack from the whole year. It's a truly excellent selection of music. The Shins kick ass.

You're gonna *love* the mixes I have for you if you liked that.

Errr....I'm less than enthused about "Caring is Creepy," but I like "New Slang."

I think I'm going to listen to this CD nonstop. (And the movie comes out on DVD on Dec. 28, and you can damn betcha I'm getting it that day. I ended up liking it as much as -- maybe even more than -- Lost in Translation.)

I bought comics for you today, SA.

Another excellent soundtrack, by the by.

I like "New Slang."

I have a bunch of their tracks. It's really worth purchasing their album, though.

You didn't! You did! I love you! What did you buy, if I'm allowed to ask.

Wow, high praise. I really like "Let go", so I may have to buy this cd.

TT #17 & #18 (and I'll get #19 when it comes out) -- the kick-ass, fucked-up Titans Tomorrow storyline.

Sweet! This was the dystopic thing everyone was talking about for awhile, right? Cool.

Yes! You SO need it. It kicks ass. It's so beautifully fucked-up. Total Wish-verse.

Seriously. You rock beyond a rocking thing. I was thinking of you today as I was talking with Am-Chau, about how excited I am that you're the first thing I get to see when I get back to the States. It makes me happy thinking about it.

Okay, this is not the love-on-Steph thread. Though I think there should be a bullshit consensus on forming one.
