Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

And now that I've read the article, they can bite me. I love "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" and "The Sounds of Silence," too.

"We Built This City" rated as worst song ever.

While I do hate the song, there's got to be worse. Say, the Hilary Duff song I was forced to endure while waiting for the movie to start last night. Hilary is now on The List.

I don't mind "We Built This City" at all. And "The Sounds of Silence" is clearly classic, what are they thinking of? "Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da" is admittedly a rather dumb novelty song but it doesn't actively offend me.

Anyway, "Russians" by Sting is much worse than any of them.

Is that the "We share the same biology/regardless of ideology" song? You have a point there.

And frankly, I love "I'm Too Sexy."

My personal all-time worst song: "Old Time Rock & Roll" by Bob Seger.

Yes, also the classic "Mr Krushchev said we will bury you/I don't subscribe to that point of view". I keep thinking the time is ripe for someone with very bad taste to do a cover of "Russians", only rename it "Muslims".

"Old Time Rock and Roll" is indeed vile.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Though Right Said Fred's I'm Too Sexy got in, such novelties as Macarena and Who Let the Dogs Out, which by design are cheesy, were nixed.

"I'm Too Sexy" wasn't intentionally cheesy?

And for worst song, I'd vote Three Dog Night's "Joy to the World." I've set land speed records to change the radio to anything else.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I am secure in my belief that the worst song ever is "Honey" by Bobby Goldsboro.

Yes. This.

I don't think I know it, but that's okay. Do not share the crappy songs.
