Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Try this one. If that doesn't work I can send it to you. It's safe for office viewing.

Neither am I, much as I'd like to be. ("That was Organ Leroy, at his organ again." Firesign Theater) Mmm, brownies! Mmm, Liz Vassey! Mmm, Liz Vassey covered in brownies.

Death Cab For Cutie plays Cincy on April 14! Right on!

Also, win an iPod -- filled with Coltrane's music!

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Dude, really? Where and how much? Because that's the day before I go to New York, but it would be so worth it.

At the Southgate House, right across the river in Newport, Kentucky. It's a really cool, old mansion (very old -- 1814) that's now a multi-level bar, with the basement the large space for the bigger bands, the first floor a lounge where there's acoustic/open mic/poetry readings, and the 3rd floor an art gallery.

Oh, and the show? $14.

Are you flying out of Cincy to go to NYC?

Then I am totally coming. Is it 21-over? Do you need to prebuy tickets, or will there be some at the door?

And we're bussing up to NYC, so I'll have like twelve hours to sleep in the car.

Have you bought your ticket to DC yet?

(YAY TICKETS TO DC!)

Also, Anne, I will be sending you several CDs tomorrow...I was going to today, but then realized I had meetings from 10AM until 4PM straight, so going to lunch was out--much less hitting the post office during lunch.
