Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

At the Southgate House, right across the river in Newport, Kentucky. It's a really cool, old mansion (very old -- 1814) that's now a multi-level bar, with the basement the large space for the bigger bands, the first floor a lounge where there's acoustic/open mic/poetry readings, and the 3rd floor an art gallery.

Oh, and the show? $14.

Are you flying out of Cincy to go to NYC?

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Then I am totally coming. Is it 21-over? Do you need to prebuy tickets, or will there be some at the door?

And we're bussing up to NYC, so I'll have like twelve hours to sleep in the car.

Have you bought your ticket to DC yet?

(YAY TICKETS TO DC!)

Also, Anne, I will be sending you several CDs tomorrow...I was going to today, but then realized I had meetings from 10AM until 4PM straight, so going to lunch was out--much less hitting the post office during lunch.

Is life better, meara? I've been thinking about you.

In music-y news, the clips of the Triplets of Belleville soundtrack that I've heard are exceedingly cool. I wants it.

Life is quite mad, SA. But mostly in good ways. Plus, am (six weeks in!) being very good at work, and not reading B.org. Which is sad, but probably for the best.

And, (on topic) I'm downloading music from iTunes these days--my boss and coworkers are all giving me their free songs from Pepsi, which is fun. But a few of the songs I've really wanted, they haven't had. Hmph.

Yeah, iTunes is slowly getting more comprehensive, but indie stuff and some big names aren't giving up the goods.

I heard it over the weekend, and it's fab. I still haven't made it to the movie yet. Stupid end of the school year papers.

I'll check on that.

And I'll check on that, too.

Have you bought your ticket to DC yet?

Not yet.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Yeah, iTunes is slowly getting more comprehensive, but indie stuff and some big names aren't giving up the goods.

And their oldies selection is quite weak.
