Gwen: Demon, OK? The whole nine—cloven feet and horns and teeth. He wasn't wearing lamé though. Lorne: Yeah, the evil ones can't pull it off. It gets camp.

I may have to seize the cat.

I always assumed she knew what he was going to do, and that's why she cut him.

"When I look at people that I would like to feel have been a mentor or an inspiring kind of archetype of what I'd love to see my career eventually be mentioned as a footnote for in the same paragraph, it would be, like, Bowie." ~Trent Reznor

Thing was, that would take precognition, since there hadn't yet been a plan to sneak River into Ariel, so Jayne wouldn't have had a reason to try to turn them in for the reward. That's where my theory sort of falls apart. She's psychic, but I'm not willing to believe she can see the future.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Allyson, as long as you don't set up SaveWash.com (I mean, somebody did that already) I'm sure you'll be fine.

I didn't think he'd made the decision to turn them in until River cut him. He's childish enough to want payback for it.

I may have to seize the cat.

At this point, I believe River can know anything and everything.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

"Safe" would tend to contradict that. Unless she liked the idea of doing a stunning Joan of Arc imitation...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Knowing is one thing - caring and being effective are two others.

What I was meaning to say is that it is not a great leap for me to believe she has flashes of precognition; I very deliberately used "can" rather than "does." Does she know everything? I don't think so. But I think she can see what's coming, what's already been, etc. But she doesn't see it completely, and she doesn't have any control over what she sees.

All interpretation, of course, and something about which I'm willing to just say, "Okay, you think I'm wrong, cool. There isn't particular evidence to support my perception fully. It's just what I think."

My personal take is that she's clairvoyant and empathic/telepathic, but not precognitive. However, since the former two senses result in her getting information long before other people become aware of situations via their standard 5, it gives the impression of seeing the future when she's actually just hyper-aware of what's going on in the present.

My take is that Joss probably doesn't care.
