Because Daniel is geeky, wears glasses, has an adorable smile which he breaks out from time to time, and doesn't have that irritating flippancy.
I mean, I like Jack. Don't get me wrong. But a lot of the reason is RDA appeal, instead of Jack.

For me, a lot of the appeal Jack and Daniel has a lot to do with the way they interact with each other.
