I can't tell the difference between RDA appeal and Jack appeal, since McGyver reduces me to fits of giggles. I just can't do the show.

For me, a lot of the appeal Jack and Daniel has a lot to do with the way they interact with each other.

What I like about Jack is that he's a career military guy, hardened Special Ops soldier, etc. who quite frequently acts like he's about twelve.
