I'd ask that we wait until tomorrow night to take action, just in case there are people who are off-line for the weekend who would want to weigh in.
I think this is a good idea.
Buffy ,'Get It Done'
We open it up, we talks the talk, we votes, we shuts it down. This thread is to free up Bureaucracy for daily details as we hammer out the Big Issues towards a vote. Open only when a proposal has been made and seconded according to Buffista policy (Which we voted on!). If this thread is closed, hie thee to Bureaucracy instead!

I believe consensus is appropriate.
He's hurt the board. He's been educated several times over more than a decade and he hasn't changed for the better. Personally, I avoid all contact with him and don't like to be in threads where he posts. He's not the only reason I've been so gray, but he's definitely be a discouragement to being active here again.
I am in favor of consensus, but I do appreciate the fact that people want to give the chance for others who might be offline to weigh in, so tomorrow night is fine.
I agree that waiting until tomorrow night is good. After Jessica's story, I don't think anyone will disagree, but I want the biggest number of people to agree so that it is more powerful.
I agree.
Yes, tomorrow night is good.
Agreed on all counts.
I think we should follow our own rules here, and either use our official three strikes standard, or vote to make an exception and ban immediately.
Thank you, Jesse.
I suspect that, as Laura says, it is a deeply rooted unconscious issue rather than outright malice, but that doesn't matter. The end result is the same.
Yes. I believe everyone who has shared that Sunil's behavior made them uncomfortable and unsafe, to the point where some people have left the board or drastically curtailed their involvement. The way he's interacted with me, here and on FB (I'm not active on Twitter), has never made me, personally, feel uncomfortable. But my own POV based on our interactions is absolutely NOT relevant when people have been hurt.
Sunil, if you read this: please do the work to do better, to BE better.
I'm fine with a consensus, and with waiting until tomorrow night to allow plenty of time for people to see this and weigh in.
