lisah I hope the dog is ok.
I got a semi updated from Mom. My Aunt Wanda , who is in her early 80s, hadn't gotten a covid vaccination yet so Mom took her yesterday. She had been waiting for the Johnson & Johnson one but finally a friend of hers and Mom were able to convinced her to go and get vaccinated already. I don't know if she was aware the J & J vaccine had been pulled because of blood clots or not.
And Mom decided she needed to stay longer in Florida. I don't know the details because I've just been texting with her. When I've called she's been tired or busy.
I want to find out when my uncle Jimmy will be back down there. I wish I could go and help mom and give her support but even if I requested time off the earliest I could get it would be 3 weeks from now. I don't want mom to get too stressed out or over worked. I'll ask her today about this and then go from there
Texted mom because I can't sleep and got an update. Aunt Wanda isnt really accepting the reality of the situation , which iI can understand .
Jay is on 5 blood pressure medicines to keep his blood pressure down. He still has bleeding in his brain and there is a drain for that and he is on blood thinners but has multiple clots in both arms.
The doctors have said if he wakes up the only real difference will be that he will be aware and in pain
He has also opened an eye and raised his arm but not purposefully and not on command. But that he did those things fuels my aunt's hope and her denial of the reality.
Jim just used the phrase "I'm completely aligned on this" in a meeting. I am going downstairs for the flamethrower.
This is absolutely the correct response.
Oh, askye, how hard for all of you! I’m so sorry.
I'm sorry, askye. That is so hard on everyone.
I just realized that I say "that would be great" fairly often in email, and I mean it sincerely, but I hear it in my head as if I'm quoting Office Space
