I just realized that I say "that would be great" fairly often in email, and I mean it sincerely, but I hear it in my head as if I'm quoting Office Space
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
askye, I'm so sorry.

Borrow a stapler and see what happens.

There's a red one in a box in Jim's office I can lend you.
I don't know if I can put in words how much I want a red stapler. It is a lot.

Under $20. I'm not saying you should buy it, but I will suggest that a lot of dreams can't be fulfilled for under $20. [link]
askye, I am so sorry. So much ~ma to you and yours.
There are riots in my city tonight between racists and Arabs (this is not the first time it happens during Ramadan. And there were clashes in the last few days from both sides). This, along with the leadership failure that fuels these riots, is heartbreaking. (Not even sure if riots is the right word. We call it pogrom attempts). It was also worrying personally because I have a academic workshop that ends late on Thursdays on campus on the other side of town and I found myself trying to understand when the violence will start, because my way home goes through the places where the riots are. There are some brave activists that are going there to protect folks from attacks, but I'm not one of them. I love this city so much. It hurts to see it this way.
That is heartbreaking, Shir. Please be careful.
Oh, Shir. I'm so sorry. Be careful and safe.
Thank you. To clarify, because I realize that I forgot to phrase it clearly: I went through the city center (where the riots are) about 30 minutes before everything started. I saw the police getting ready to separate between the two sides. And some very clueless people who haven't read the news and were heading out to have some fun outside (poor souls).
