Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Sheryl, you inspired me and I'm getting a pedicure tomorrow.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

We're doing an office easter egg hunt right now. I just can't bring myself to join in, Easter is just too definitely a religious holiday to me, even though eggs are not necessarily.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Hooray for security and self-knowledge, tommyrot!

Susan, that can't be right. Check your math, please. Nineteen? What?

I know! It feels unpossible.

Susan, I remember when he was born! Surely that was just 5 or 6 years ago.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hey, Nineteen!

Oh, and I figured out I’m agender. That explains so much!

That's good to know.

Tim had a CT scan of his back and a DEXA scan for bone density earlier this week, and today was a follow-up appointment with the back surgeon. His bone density kind of sucks, so the surgeon wants to wait 2-3 months before surgery so Tim can take Evista or one of the other drugs that helps improve bone density. In the meantime, he's also going to get an epidural steroid injection to try to help with some of the increased pain he's having.

I'm both sad and glad the surgery is pushed back by 2-3 months: sad because he really, really needs to the surgery to happen, and glad because it gives me a little bit longer for the long Covid fatigue to (hopefully) go away completely. I'll be a better caregiver if I'm not exhausted all the time. And it gives us a little more time to prepare for everything that he'll need when he's recovering at home. He's super excited to buy a recliner. I called him an old man.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

All the Mom-ma headed your way, Matt.

I hope she's okay.

I'm sorry about the delay, Tep, but it does sound like bone density and recliners are essential in this process.

The surgery could go ahead without treating the bone density, but opting to treat it will definitely increase his already good chance of a successful outcome. Plus, the bone density would have to be addressed at some point anyway, so might as well do it now.

The recliner will just make him a happy old man.
