it does sound like bone density and recliners are essential in this process.
The surgery could go ahead without treating the bone density, but opting to treat it will definitely increase his already good chance of a successful outcome. Plus, the bone density would have to be addressed at some point anyway, so might as well do it now.
The recliner will just make him a happy old man.
Matt, thinking of you and your mom. Those events are scary.
Keeping your mom in my thoughts, Matt
Yeah, definitely...good thoughts for Matt's mom.
Health~ma for your mom, Matt.
Yes, all good health~ma for your mom, Matt. that's a scary happening, but I'm so glad she was where she was when it happened. Calm and comfort ~ma to you, too.
Oh, Matt, best wishes for your mom! How frightening that must have been
Matt, strokes of any kind are scary. I hope your mom makes a swift recovery.
Timelies all!
Much ~ma for your mom, Matt.
Thanks everyone. The symptoms were clearing up by the time I got to the doctor's office, and were completely gone after a couple of hours. Except possibly a headache that Mom was convinced was just her sinuses acting up. So most of her time in the hospital was just being under observation and having tests done. (It was also a reminder that Mom is a horrible patient, in marked contrast to my late dad who spent way too much time in hospitals for myriad health problems and took everything in stride.)
Now they're putting her on baby aspirin and adjusting some of her other meds in the hopes that it will ward off any similar or worse events in the future.
