I decided to have a pint of Guinness with lunch because I like to live dangerously in a very mild way and that turned into two 22 oz pours because that is what happens when you sit at the bar and now I would really like to nap and not work any more. These forecasts will not analyze themselves, alas.
ETA that's a 175% increase in actual beer consumption vs forecast, ftr. Not great for my accuracy stats.
Timelies all!
I have an appointment tomorrow morning for my car to get routine maintenance. That pushes grocery shopping to the afternoon. Such an exciting life I lead.
Steph I'm not a huge fan of smoothies but I know that M and his Mom like them at times. So I may try some and maybe get everyone on board with that.
My favorite snack right now is grapes, some cheese, and triscuits (or Aldi brand). Sometimes celery. I need to expand on rmrhibgs like that.
Good stuff you can add to smoothies: peanut butter powder, sugar-free syrups, almond extract (or any extract), cinnamon.
My smoothies almost always include avocado, because yum. There is always a large bag of frozen mixed berries on hand here too.
I have peanut butter powder and didn't even think about adding it to a smoothie. I'm definitely going to do that!
We had a tame anniversary. Went to the movie theater, which was quite full, and saw Moving On. Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda so what's not to love. Reserved seats are a good thing.
Big excitement today was getting a new faucet in the kitchen. The previous faucet didn't swivel, as in to get water into one side of the sink you had to use the spray extension. Very odd. Changing the faucet is challenging for Brendon with getting under the sink and small places. He started it last night and I made him leave it to finish this morning. Since he had the water off we had used the lobby restrooms, which I thought was a cool option at least.
Now off to shower since I have water again! Better than going to the gym for that.
My go-to smoothie is a banana, frozen strawberries, half a cup of plain yogurt, a couple tablespoons of almond- or sunflower-butter, and enough orange juice to ease the blending. Sometimes I add frozen blueberries or peaches. It’s so good—I have it 2-3 times a week.
Lovely lazy day. Hope everyone is having a nice Sat.
