Our wings are not tired.

We had a tame anniversary. Went to the movie theater, which was quite full, and saw Moving On. Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda so what's not to love. Reserved seats are a good thing.

Big excitement today was getting a new faucet in the kitchen. The previous faucet didn't swivel, as in to get water into one side of the sink you had to use the spray extension. Very odd. Changing the faucet is challenging for Brendon with getting under the sink and small places. He started it last night and I made him leave it to finish this morning. Since he had the water off we had used the lobby restrooms, which I thought was a cool option at least.

Now off to shower since I have water again! Better than going to the gym for that.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

My go-to smoothie is a banana, frozen strawberries, half a cup of plain yogurt, a couple tablespoons of almond- or sunflower-butter, and enough orange juice to ease the blending. Sometimes I add frozen blueberries or peaches. It’s so good—I have it 2-3 times a week.

I love my Saturday mornings these days... Matt goes to a class, so I have several hours to myself to just faff about. I mean, today, I had to do some work, but there was still a lot of faffing.

Love the dude, but love my time alone, too.

Might go to the pool this afternoon.

Yep, a lovely day here, too.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

As usual, getting routine maintenance done on the car turned up other things that needed to be taken care of. I had them do the most urgent things, as doing all the things would have been more than I wanted to spend.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I got in a brisk 8 mile walk in the redwoods this morning. Lots of other folks at the park, lots of muddy dogs! It was nice.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Now would be a good time to know who our accomplices are in the event that our marginalized buffistas need to relocate.

We went to a Celebration of Life for our friend who died in January. Plenty of music, as she was a musician. Nice to see how many people attended, both in person, and on Zoom.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

My niece's 18th birthday is this week. It snuck up on me (denial?) I was thinking of getting her a gift card, but how much is appropriate these days? I remember getting a $100 gift card for graduating from high school (RIP Britches), so presumably more than that? I suppose I could ask her parents too, but I think that they'll lowball out of politeness.

more than $100 seems like way too much to me but I am not a parent
