I'm trying to fend off a migraine, and I was just sitting pathetically with one hand on my forehead, rubbing the spot between my eyebrows. The kitty walked over, sat on my leg, and looked at me intently, so I said "Are you here to fix my head, Dr. Murderbiscuit*?" And I swear to you that after I asked that, he whapped the hand on my head with one of his paws. I'm pretty sure he was just attacking my hand (he hates hands, and it is his worst trait by far), but I'm choosing to believe he was trying to stop the headache.
*(I don't think his M.D. is real.** I'm pretty sure it was just an email attachment that he paid like $17 for.) (I don't know where he got $17.)
**(But Kato was *definitely* an M.D.)
I also like Adrienne for yoga, and also if you want even less woo and more crunchy granola style, a site called doyogawithme.com. I like that they have routines for specific things, like my stupid back. mr. flea is now bragging about how many miles he walks the dog a day (maximum is 4, and he is a saunterer, so it's not like he's working hard but it's a lot better than it was.) Meanwhile I am getting less exercise now that I have a job. Leave the house three times a day is a fine idea but I leave the house at 8:25 am and get home at 6:10pm on a work day, and it's dark most of the time I'm not at work. Also below freezing.
Folks, I just sent in a form for a criminal background check and am in expectation of a job offer by the end of the day Thursday. For a job in Cape Cod. If I were to take it I'd probably start in January and find temporary housing for just me (my mother has a tenant in her house) and the rest of the family would follow in the summer. mr. flea would move to remote work (which he has been doing for 21 months now.) On the other hand, my current job wants to hire me full-time next year; I'm not sure at what salary but I did bring in a $43,000 grant last week so I'm in a good place with them. Choosing between these two possibilities has me ALL OVER THE PLACE in my mind. Pros of Cape Cod: ocean; community, job seems nice. Cons of Cape Cod: my mother is a lot, moving, uncertainty. Pros of current job: no moving, good house, good garden, job is pretty good, close to mr. flea's parents (now 82). Cons of current job: Cincinnati, OH is not my spiritual belonging-place.
[edit for a wild alot, which I swear to god was a typo]
Oh WOW, flea! That is a lot. It's got to feel good to have options, no matter how tough the decision is going to be.
Oh wow flea!! That’s a lot of choice! How would the kids feel about cape cod? I have lost all track of where they are school-wise. Hopefully it all works out really well?
Oh, wow, flea! How exciting, whatever you decide
Dillo is currently a sophomore in high school and is not coincidentally the most opposed to the idea of moving. Casper graduated in may and is currently gap year-ing, although also not making any moves to start applying to schools for next year. She can do that anywhere and loves cape cod.
But also people you’re not supposed to say “wow! That’s a decision all right!” You’re supposed to tell me what to do with my life.
We're better at the "what's for lunch" level of what to do with your life.
Oh sorry, did not understand the assignment
