I do think it was definitely made for people who have seen a large portion of that genre though, so if you aren't in that camp I think a lot of what they were playing at would be lost.
To the surprise of no one, I feel the same way. I love Cabin In the Woods; it's one of my "comfort movies".
However, it is gory, and it does have jump scares. So if those aren't for you, don't watch it.
Speaking of horror movies, I finally saw Us, and
damn.
So good. I want to watch it again so I can pick up on the foreshadowing layers.
And and and, Midsommer comes out soon! That's the movie I'm most excited for right now.
