sumi, I'm sorry things are so tough for you.

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?
Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Wait, people read dirty books?
Sorry, I don't know how to be witty anymore.
Wait, people read dirty books?
Well, it made me laugh.
sumi, I'm glad to hear the 403B relieved some serious stress.
sumi, I'm glad you "found" that money! Glad you're okay.
I've been reading but not responding and I'm sorry. Some days (weeks) I just don't have the spoons to type out coherently what I'm thinking. Work takes a lot of my spoons most days.

Polish your spoons and store them carefully in their velvet lined case.
Spoon care is important.
I managed to have today off and it's one of E's swim meets. Well day 2 of a 2 day onw but he is onky swimming today. I was so excited.
But this morning my brother texts Mom and says by the way it will bw crowded and hard to find parking so you might want to get there before warm ups start. Also skye might not want to go because it will be 400 people in an indoor pool.
I thought about going amd then realized if I did I would struggle the rest of the day and I want to be able to visit with my Dad today and not feel on the verge of a meltdown. So no swim meet.
Cool news Dad has been getting Hello Fresh meals (my brother gets them and dad introduced him to it). He brought up 2 meals to show me and Mom and last night he made one while I was at work.
Today I'm making the other and it's fun. This meal ia Chickpea Powdered Mediterranean Couscous. Not normally something I woul make I hope it is good. I wish I could do more of these.

Indeed it is! It is good to see you making good decisions to keep your stress level down.
I love the food delivery programs, but it ended up being stressful for me. Also, I hate to waste food and sometimes I just couldn't manage to cook it in time.
My current policy is to collect my recipes on the weekend and pretty much every day shopping for any missing ingredients. Grateful that DH does the shopping from my detailed lists. The whole month of November I ate out twice, both times the kids took me out. The cooking and eating at home program is going well. Yesterday was the most super tasty lunch ever!
Skip for food porn to follow. We have been doing soup and salad every day for lunch, but yesterday was soup and wrap. Soup was Spicy Thai Soup, exactly as the recipe except no onion and extra garlic. [link] - spicy from ginger and jalapeno and packed with veggies. Then the wraps were thin whole grain wraps filled with roasted red pepper hummus, alfalfa sprouts, and sun dried tomatoes. The spicy soup and sweet wrap combined perfectly. DH hasn't eaten meat (or drank soda) in over a month so I am making an extra effort to use a good variety of tasty recipes.
Ugh, rough start to the day. I got sick while sleeping and was awake from 2:30 to 6:30, throwing up about 4:30. Also, my wife is upset at me for waking her up with the throwing up. I even suck at being sick.
That's not how you should treat sick people.
