I don't really have a security blanket... unless you count Mr. Pointy.

Buffy ,'Lessons'

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

That's not how you should treat sick people.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Gud, you are sick. You deserve care and kindness.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I even suck at being sick.

Your wife sucks at empathy.

brillig

There are many times when I'd like to sit Gud's wife down and have a chat with her.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Yes. That.

Thrive to spite them

You do not suck. Your wife is being abusive.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's awful, Gud. I'm sorry.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Here. Take my metaphorical baseball bat. You may want it.

Our wings are not tired.

I even suck at being sick.

Gud, you have to know this is wrong. You don't get mad at your loved ones for being sick. You have to reverse things, would you get mad at your wife or kids if they got sick in the middle of the night, or would you feel compassion and do what you could to make them feel better? Be honest with yourself and expect to be treated the same as you treat others. Humans, particularly humans that are supposed to be in a loving partnership, don't treat each other that way. At the very least the do unto others rule should apply.

This. Gud, can you show some compassion for yourself?
