Wash: So, two days in a hospital? That's awful. Don't you just hate doctors? Simon: Hey. Wash: I mean, present company excluded. Jayne: Let's not be excluding people. That'd be rude.

'Ariel'

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

lol, I'm far too impatient, I just booked at Six Acres B&B which looked pretty close (relatively speaking) to Northside.

That's where we got married! It's literally 3 minutes from our house. Kristen (the proprietor) might remember us, but then, she has weddings there basically every weekend, and we got married 4 years ago (HOW HAS IT BEEN FOUR YEARS), so she may not.

Also YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!! There's a really new brewery just north of Six Acres, called Brink Brewing. That neighborhood is North College Hill. And then in Northside we have Urban Artifact, and by that time, Taft Ale House might be open** (technically not Northside, but so close that it makes no difference). And beyond us, there's a crapton more. New breweries keep opening all the time. You'll need to make a spreadsheet and prioritize. But I can almost* guarantee you that Tim can chauffeur you (us) around to breweries, because he doesn't drink.

*(I say "almost" because I don't want to just commit him like that, but I'm pretty damn sure he'll do it.)

**(There's already one location open for Taft Ale House; the one near Northside will be a second location.) (If you care.) (Which you might, because you might Google.)

We have good food and fun shenanigans in Northside, but also in Clifton, which is flea's neighborhood, and in Hyde Park, which is Hil's neighborhood. Hil, will you be around then, or back in NJ with your family for the holidays/school break?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

It's official; we're adopting the porch cat whose photos have been lighting up the book of face. Her name is now PHRYNE, because she will charmingly get all up in your business before you even know it. Mycroft, true to his name, is kind of a grump about it all.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

SO EXCITE!

Ha, that's so funny that you got married there! It looks gorgeous.

It's really lovely. You won't have leaves on the trees then, so it lessens the effect, but it's still really nice. AND 3 MINUTES FROM ME.

I mean, it's literally 1.2 miles from me, so I could walk it, but it's all uphill. Like, SUPER uphill. So that would never happen.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Phryne is a perfect name--she's a glossy black, like character-Phryne's bob!

Cute character drawings, Gud!

Wafting feel-betters to those what need them. Day four of dizzying headache. Closed eyes in a dark room is booooring.

Compassionately intolerant

Congrats Porch Cat Phryne! You landed well.

My current working setup is a big comfy chair with my computer on a side table and keyboard and mouse on a laptop board.

I have moved my computer into my great room and have set up a 'Cagney couch' next to the dining table. It's pretty great. The wider, open space seems to inspire me.

I wish, however, something would contribute to some extreme focus.

I need to create a fb fan page, an online course/ebook client attraction thingie, do something with the parts of my wordpress website that aren't working.

It is all, totally ARGH and I am vexed. VEXED. Why can't I afford to get someone to do all this for me?

I wish Ginger was here to talk me through pdf stuff.

Speaking of same, have any of you used Prezi? I love the look of it, but wonder if it is worth the learning curve.

Send inspiration and, you know, actual ability!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hil, will you be around then, or back in NJ with your family for the holidays/school break?

Probably in NJ, but I'm not sure -- might be coming back to Cincinnati earlier.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Is anyone around and up for being a productivity buddy? I have procrastinated to the point of panic and paralysis, and I *have* to nudge some things along tonight (like planning work tomorrow and communicating such to my helper and a client).

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

All right, I'm just going to post here for my own accountability, feel free to scroll.

Done so far: shower and a 1/4 Xanax (bless the drugs), put away a few articles of clothes (each time I go into the bedroom for something, I put away a few things), sent three overdue messages for work, counted how many scheduled work days I have left to complete the project from hell, started filling in my planner for the week, made a pitcher of iced tea.

Next: two more work messages, get an insurance quote for the car I'm buying, message my doctor's assistant, put away dishes. That is pretty much what I *have* to get done tonight, I think. Need to look back through planner to see what else has fallen through the cracks.

Setting timer for 25 min and... onward. When I get going all my anxiety seems so dumb. I try to remember during the anxiety but it's a work in progress.
