Oh, I really didn't care for it. I guessed the ending pretty early on and kept waiting for something to surprise me but it never did.
It's a real burden being right so often.

I like an impossible crime and while I wasn’t surprised by whodunnit I hadn’t worked out all the details (I was sure that Nate had killed his wife so it was a relief that that wasn’t part of it…
I must admit, I spent kind of a lot of time trying to remember which classic mystery had the lectern or podium or whatever that was built like a ship (I am still doing this, have not remembered), and it took me until this morning to recall that the thing that Grandad priest putting all his money into a jewel reminded me of was K J Charles’ Thief in the Night, which is a favorite.
And “scooby-dooby-doo” made my day

Okay, I love that the proshot of Merrily We Roll Along enabled me to see the Groff-Mendez-Radcliffe cast performance, because holy cow, they are all so fucking good. They deserved those Tonys. And I honestly appreciate the use of *some* closeups, but that was too many closeups. But the choice to use a lot of closeups didn't make the performances or music any less great. I love me some Sondheim.

Wake Up Dead Man is my favorite of the three, by a lot. Rian Johnson managed to ease back on the campiness, so that Craig was less Foghorn Leghorn, but also with the rest of the cast, and everything was dialed in perfectly.
