Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Too Damn High.
Yeah. I'm kind of adjacent to the crazy startup scene -- I mean, I technically work for a tech startup, so there's that -- in a way that sometimes makes me think that it would be better for career advancement blah blah to be in either NY or SF. And then I remember that we bought a house in a MUCH smaller but super-techy area in a dodgy but charming neighborhood near the bottom of the real estate crisis, and I decide that the local tech world is plenty startup-y enough, thanks.
WFH Wednesday sounds amazing. I had a boss once who came back from mat leave at 80%, and Weds was her home day. So nice to mix up the week like that.
When I was full-time retail we got a day off during the week because theoretically we'd work weekends, (although the part-time people always wanted those shifts so I usually did not have to) and Wednesday was my day off. That was nice.
I believe there are folks here who are familiar with the work of one Mr. Stephen Sondheim?
My sister will be squiring him around on Saturday as part of her job. She felt like this might be a good place to go for some jealous gnashing of teeth.
(Rick Bayless will also be in the mix. Jealousy for everyone!)
WHAT? SHUT UP.
IN CHICAGO? I COULD BE IN CHICAGO ON SATURDAY IF YOUR SISTER NEEDS A NEW BEST FRIEND. OR ANOTHER SISTER OR SOMETHING.
EDITED FOR TYPO. I WAS TOO STUNNED TO TYPE CORRECTLY.
Dana made me laugh. I have several friends who would be delighted to fly in and assist your sister any way they could.
OMG brenda!
Your sister knows what's what, brenda!
In New York, I'm pretty sure I needed tax returns.
Thanks, Jesse. I guess I'll bring copies of my W-2 to be on the safe side.
