Today is a day to remember DXM on his birthday. It is a tough thread because we have lost so many, but it is also a reminder that we would never have had these people in our lives if it weren't for this place. I think of Ed so often and miss his warmth and spicy brains. I'm so grateful to have known him.

On that note, I'll say that I had Ouise as my Secret Santa one year and I sent her the Edward Gorey Cardboard Dracula Theater, and I think of her every time I see it for sale at Borderland Books. And I remember the sweet remembrances of the Haligonians talking about listening to her sing at her choir even as she neared the end.
