ita's thread

A place where we can talk about ita, miss ita, and share information about memorials. The hugging started over here in Natter.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

As much as I hate this thread has to exist, I love the space to mourn, celebrate, and remember our family. I love this thread and the people that this board has brought into my life, so I can't ever be sad that we get a space to celebrate the people that mean so much to us.

I think this has to be here. "No lies between us." The Wire--Ray Cole's wake. [link]

How brilliant was the Bojack Horseman with his mother's funeral?1ETA: more info. [link] I really laughed and cried, about a talking horse. Never expected that. Or to be sitting there thinking that I like churros, but my mother doesn't. Or that I thought Becker was fine, but not much better than fine, so maybe the horsey TV star had a good eyes. It might be like the fruitpunch speech, for parents.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I found one of ita’s old Supernatural T-shirts when I was going through a drawer at the Cabin the other day. I’m a long way from fitting into it right now, but it’s not going anywhere.

I am filling in for Laura today to mark ita's day of birth this year. Loved and missed still and always by so many people.

Swouncing

Sorry for ignoring ongoing conversations, but last year I was grateful to be able to participate in the lovely Zoom event that ita's sister has arranged in honor of ita. Towards the end of the Zoom event, she mentioned how she'd be interested in reading some of ita's writing from this board.

So I've gone over the old GWW threads, and collected her drabbles. She was such a wonderful writer, evoking senses and emotions in such a few words.

I've e-mailed the links to ita's sister, but I think they should also be here.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

How thoughtful, Nilly! What a lovely resource.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

I looked at a few, but also bookmarked the page for some other time. Thanks, Nilly.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Thank you, Nilly. I remember some of them, probably not word for word but pretty vividly. Being able to get to the actual posts quickly will be a nice treat
