I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

ita's thread

A place where we can talk about ita, miss ita, and share information about memorials. The hugging started over here in Natter.

Always Anti-fascist!

I never thought I'd get verklempt rewatching/finishing watching "New Girl" which is kind of why I chose it, over and above my general "addiction" to hangout comedy, right? I'll watch "Happy Endings" too.Sometimes I do weigh it out between trying to start out fresh in the morning--pretty much not a thing--and trying to pretend I've ever known where the party is with my imaginary friends--Which didn't seem as tragic as it looks right here, but I'll leave it...not the point- but at first, I was mad about "Injured" because it made me think about work and how I can't be thinking the show is super-dated because Nick doesn't have health insurance to cover the roughhousing accident, let alone the lump on his neck! But this is in this thread both because the gang tries to give him a sendoff, of a sort, which reminded me of us.(also Jess falling on him could have saved his life.) Sadly, the thing that reminded me of me was when Nick said that when people go off and jump in the ocean, he's always the guy guarding the wallets. This is also me(although circumstances have made me no fun on an actual beach, natch--pulling a chair across sand is something to do once, if that.

Always Anti-fascist!

But last night, it all made me really sad...even as I was defending dog-geyserhood.Maybe wallets have to be watched. But I had a few years on these guys when that came out, and I was behind then, and that hasn't gotten much better, and I don't get to be thirty forever--maybe that's why I quit watching, either that or not really liking Schmidt/Cece(taking pairings personally was kind of a luxury--the tiniest and most pathetic one ever, but still. Or maybe it doesn't seem so bad this time--not that I understand that kind of physical *craving* for somebody you're not sure you like very much more than when I saw it first.

Our wings are not tired.

Today we take some time to remember Amyth on her birthday. She wasn't a myth! She was a precious friend who brought joy to so many.

From Allyson on FB

I got the following message from ita’s sister, Moji. I can’t remember my Buffistas password so if you could share this, I’m grateful.

Hi Allyson,

I thought I'd let you know that Daddy died on August 16 after a brief illness. We're having his memorial service this Saturday, September 6 at 11am JA time. It will be livestreamed so if there's anyone from ita's circle who'd like to watch, the link is below.

I'll be wearing ita's gingham!

I hope you're as well as can be...

Best, Moji
