Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Oh, my god. Someone actually did this for their resume: [link]
The mind reels. Seriously. I can't even fathom it.
'Suela! I saw that. I'm not sure if it was linked here or on twitter, but I saw that and I lost my mind laughing.
that can not be real
Well, a company that would hire him off of that is probably one he'd be very happy at.
Passports and citizenships applications will not be issued.
I had no idea that this service was affected in government shutdown. Wow. Along with all the other bullshit.
and I saw this:
FEMA employees might also be furloughed.
We aren't still in hurricane season are we? Goodness. How ridiculous.
In a super-specific situation, maybe. Otherwise, world of no.
Yeah, it's a real resume. Of course the gawker network thought it's just a sign of corporate deadness that he might not get hired, but damn! How does a recruiter handle that person? That resume? How does that get scanned and filed? I guess if you want to go in the special pile, but does your industry normally hire out of that?
For every "but we're allowed to emboss pokemons on our head and we do just fine!" there are so many people who, you know, might never get a job if they can't print a resume in a couple columns, monochrome, maybe Verdana, and no animals drawn on their face.
the average company who has a lot of applications for jobs are looking for excuses not to interview or hire.
If that's his resume, I think I would pay folding $$ to see his cover letter.
