Also, we know the story wasn't that it was a were-monkey, just a regular monkey. right?
The joke was the he had been turned into a were-monkey, after being bitten by a regular one.
Hmm, Ben&Jerry's just tweeted that it's National Chocolate Ice Cream Day.

Yes- I was just afraid that the people who weren't around thought the joke part was what we believed!

No, I got that, but I always thought the monkey bite was code for something.
GC, we take him to Water Whisperer (no really) [link]. The 10-day intensive has been pretty wonderful for us. If you go, tell 'em I sent you.

In the lying liars who lie story department, years ago my brother dated a young woman who claimed to have ovarian cancer. He was at her house for Thanksgiving and her dad was thankful for many things, including "good health" for all of his family. Yeah, pretty big tip off right there.
There was certainly some backchannel discussion about Gus before he "died". But as amych says, it would have been quite difficult to raise those suspicions on the board in public.
I knew someone in college who told everyone she was an Orthodox Jew who was raised in New York. She said she'd been to Israel where she was gang-raped by five Arab men.
None of it was true. She was a non-Jew raised in Milwaukee.
She was a friend of some friends so I didn't talk to her much. She always had some fake drama in her life.
I didn't believe the "were" part, but even the effects of the monkey bite seemed pretty unlikely to me.
