I am in total editorial crisis. For a series of client presentations, I have been working the past 24 hours round the clock with an outside company to have all the docs translated into Korean.
And now I have them back and I am completely unable to check, review or confirm
anything.
I have to take it all on TRUST. This is not how editors work.
I don't care about think or thing, but I'm BAFFLED at ita not knowing who Rob Halford is [link]
He's ROB FUCKIN' HALFORD! THE ULTIMATE LEATHERMAN!
METAL'S GAY TRAILBLAZER!
And I don't even really *like* metal.
I was going to complain about all of my work drama this week (LOTS OF DRAMA, people leaving, managers getting caught in lies, funding pulled, plans cancelled), but at least I don't have to translate things into Korean.
THANK YOU. How do you not know about the fabulous leatherdaddy largely worshipped by homophobes as the tippy top of metal for two decades?!

Be really really bad with names?

As it happens, Biyi is good friends with a guy who does Korean translation. (He's one of her former lecturers.)
I know who Halford is, and approve of him on a musical/LGBT level, but do not recognize his linguistic authority. Sorries.
I get my fried chicken at Mama Dip's, the best fried chicken in NC. Ms. Dip has not, to my knowledge, shared her opinion on LGBT rights. She does, however, provide free extra gravey with her mashed potatoes. Mama Dip's is superior on a number of levels.
And now I'm whimpering. Dooky Chase is pretty good, but it's more expensive and they don't do dinner. My mother (raised in Savannah) declares Mama Dip's the best fried chicken she's had other than her mama's. I miss living around the corner from Mama Dip's!
What if other sports were photographed like beach volleyball?
I saw that post and thought it was cool, but of course any commenters still miss and/or deny the point (I know, don't read the comments. My eyes get ahead of my brain, you know?).
So I think I'm going to have to move trash -- the new place has dumpsters out back, and trash day here isn't until Monday. Is that ridiculous?
