Spike: At least give me Wesley's office since he's gone. Angel: He's not gone. He's on a leave of absence. Spike: Yeah, right. Boo-hoo. Thought he killed his bloody father. Try staking your mother when she's coming on to you! Harmony: Well…that explains a lot.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

at least I don't have to translate things into Korean.

As it happens, Biyi is good friends with a guy who does Korean translation. (He's one of her former lecturers.)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I know who Halford is, and approve of him on a musical/LGBT level, but do not recognize his linguistic authority. Sorries.

I get my fried chicken at Mama Dip's, the best fried chicken in NC. Ms. Dip has not, to my knowledge, shared her opinion on LGBT rights. She does, however, provide free extra gravey with her mashed potatoes. Mama Dip's is superior on a number of levels.

And now I'm whimpering. Dooky Chase is pretty good, but it's more expensive and they don't do dinner. My mother (raised in Savannah) declares Mama Dip's the best fried chicken she's had other than her mama's. I miss living around the corner from Mama Dip's!

What if other sports were photographed like beach volleyball?

I saw that post and thought it was cool, but of course any commenters still miss and/or deny the point (I know, don't read the comments. My eyes get ahead of my brain, you know?).

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I miss Popeye's.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I think I'm going to have to move trash -- the new place has dumpsters out back, and trash day here isn't until Monday. Is that ridiculous?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

at least I don't have to translate things into Korean.

I usually get the opposite question--translating things out of Korean (or Japanese).

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

If only I'd known. Though I am quite certain he'd want no part of this; superfast turnaround of 180 slides of highly technical, industry specific language.

The first meeting was today and the quick feedback I got was that the materials were very helpful. So they must have gotten it pretty much right. But that is not making me less antsy about my total lack of control.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We are having our traditional anniversary dinner of In and Out Burger. We ate there the night we eloped.

I moved six months of recycling four blocks away. If that makes you feel better. Didn't have a bin at the old place.

That is delightful.

I miss Popeye's.

It is pretty good, as fast food goes.

Heh. Doing the right thing is HARD.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Our anniversary dinner is steak, herbed red potatoes, and asparagus.
