And almost sixty-five percent of that was actual compliment. Is that a personal best?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

But my copy is in NC with a friend, and I'm broke, and I'm guessing there's a wait list a mile long at the library. Hmph.

I have all three that you can borrow. I have also bought them for my Kindle so I'm pretty well covered. Let me know.

Tom and I can also do animal feedings, gratis, while you are doing extra work.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Huh. I haven't been to Amazon's front page in ages - I almost always follow a link from Google.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Man, I really really need to get out there and move firewood and run errands ahead of this storm, but we got up super early to make a special trip out to the reservation to make a keyboard presentation to a student who passed his first piano book...who turned out to be at an eye appointment. And I have another unscheduled trip to the reservation in the other direction this evening to give lessons and make a guitar presentation, maybe two if the lesson goes well. It's book-passing season, apparently. We want to get it all done in advance of their spring break so the kids have something to do (while they're snowed in) over break.

But I am so tired from this morning and crampy and irritable and it's already windy out there and I just don't wanna. But I need to. This is not stuff that will wait.

And the SO is out there working his tail off in this weather prior to the storm, earning tax cash on his third job. So I really oughtn't bitch.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Nora, you and Tom are the BEST. I didn't want to ask that of you, I feel like I ask for so much, but thank you for offering. I would love it if y'all could feed them tonight. I'm out of dry food, so the kitties just get wet. Frankie gets half a cup of dry and half a cup of wet, add warm water, let sit for a few minutes.

I'd love to borrow the books, too.

Are you watching the parade tomorrow?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Holy crap. That new Amazon design is shit.

I feel like I'm shopping at JC Penney.

I don't expect my next book will find a publisher, and I'm unsure if it'll sell as a self-published ebook, but I am pretty sure that Amazon is giving me such creeps that I'd rather toss all the essays onto a website with a tip jar to panhandle for author pity donations than go through them to publish. Just as an aside that has nothing to do with the design.

Does anyone else have a hard time reading large chunks of text that have been force justified? WTH? Is my brain broken?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Does anyone else have a hard time reading large chunks of text that have been force justified? WTH? Is my brain broken?

Not just you.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Beau writes all his letters justified and I raise Cain every single time. I told him it is hard to read.

He does not get it.

In the Related To Items You've Viewed section on Amazon's front page, they're recommending Power Ranger action figures.

When the hell was I looking at Power Rangers? I think someone here must be to blame.

Warm water like, from the tap? Where does Frankie's food go down? He'll have been in the yard, so he won't need a walk, or will he?

We'll go there after we have a pint or 2 at the Avenue, probably around 7 or so.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If something really unlikely happens to you, does fake science mean you should buy a lottery ticket, or you should not bother, because you shot your wad?

I totally think the latter.
