Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Thank heavens he's a doctor and we both taught sex ed in Peace Corps. We're pretty matter of fact about stuff.
In more fun StW news, last night we finished watching s2 Justified, *while* drinking Apple Pie Moonshine. Dear lord, that shit is GOOD. This was actually moonshine cut in half with apple cider, infused with cinnamon sticks. Dangerously drinkable. I only had half a tiny jar I got from a friend, but he says he'll get me my own quart jar next time he gets some. But heaven knows when that will be. StW and I are dreaming of setting up a still (which I swear he pronounced "steel," love it when his accent creeps in) in my shed. I wonder if one could generate a suitable substitute with commercially available products...
eta aha! >[link]
We also walked around the City Park sculpture garden, which was very fun. We both gave in to the compulsion to touch many of the statues. Nearly every one reminded me of something pop culture - Doctor Who, Donnie Darko, etc. I hadn't realized how much I needed a little break from the urban.
Junior Johnson sells "moonshine." No idea on quality, I just know it exists.
That sounds like a nice day smonster and an interesting drink.
Penny is being extra clingy right now because Dean is locked in the bathroom until his appointment tomorrow. He either ate something that really really didn't agree with him (which is totally possible, I know he got into some chips and I have a pile up of dishes) or he has a new symptom of whatever is causing him to be sick.
I'm just hoping this doesn't add to the vet bill.
So...I was very good and went to bed before 10, yet here I am, wide awake as of 1 when ND got home and crawled into bed. Totally not his fault, but I am so annoyed at my brain right now. Sleep, brain! You have to be awake in four hours!
On the plus side, I wandered into the living room and got to witness a truly epic bout of kitten crazies. Omg are these guys cute. Super affectionate, full of energy, and total purr monsters. Kittens ftw.
Don't suppose anyone else is awake out there?

Might be. No kittens. I do have a little boy who, on occasion, calls me "Silly Penguin" and who says goodnight by saying "See you guys". So that's pretty cute. Maybe I should get two of them.
I found out last week that my boss and his wife are having triplets. Aaand I haven't seen him since. It's been an interesting week.
I gave up trying to sleep and am just getting some schoolwork done, since I was so inspired. It’s going to be a long day tomorrow, but hopefully this will reset my internal clock and allow me to get a good night’s sleep tomorrow night. I’m afraid to try to nap now since I have to be up in less than 90 minutes.
Aww, cute sproglet! You are totally a Silly Penguin. Clearly he is both intelligent and insightful. But triplets? Gah. I can barely handle having two kittens at the same time.

Seriously. I can only hope they have some good help. (Oh, hey, does Drew know of Chocolate Starfish, Australian band from the 90s? My boss' brother played guitar with them.)
Meanwhile, I am watching episode one of
The Wire,
Season 3, and it is simply hilarious.
Stringer Bell trying to run a meeting with his dealers according to Robert's Rules of Order? Comedy gold.
It's the first day of classes. I need to get to campus and do all sorts of prep stuff that I didn't do last week. Don't wanna.
An acquaintance of mine had triplets. The first two years were seriously challenging and she had two older kids to help out.
