Angel: Connor, this is Spike and Illyria. Guys, this is Connor. Connor: Hi. umm...I like your outfit. Illyria: Your body warms. This one is lusting after me. Connor: Oh...no, I--I--it's just that it's the outfit. I guess I've had a thing for older women. Angel: They were supposed to fix that.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

I was semi productive today - I went to the grocery store to stock up before the possible storm this weekend. Heard back from my shrink about the blood work he had done because I started lithium. He said my thyroid levels were high not enough to be caused by the lithium (which can cause high thyroid) but he was calling to say I should have my primary care doctor check it out. I don't remember the number but the levels are slightly over what "normal" is. I reminded him that I had him check it in the fall and he said it was on the high side then. I went to the primary care doctor who said it was within the normal range.

My shrink checked and the levels are slightly higher than they were last time. So I called and made an appointment iwth my primary care doctor for tomorrow and I'm going to ask if there's further testing we can do to find out if I'm having thyroid problems.

Then I called my gynecologist to make a consultation appointment to get my tubes tied. That's next week, evidently there's a government mandated 30 day waiting period for the procedure to actually happen.

And I'm going to go to knitting club tonight and hopefully finish this stupid glove I'm making that I haven't worked on since last Wednesday.

I'm babysitting tonight. H forgot to let her husband know that I was coming.

Yay, productivity, Askye. I hope they can figure out what is going on with your thyroid.

Our wings are not tired

Glam, so sorry for your friends.

Hil, that's great news on doggie adoption. I will offer one unsolicited observation. I have had a few friends over the years with Jack Russell Terriers. They are adorable dogs, but tend to be VERY high energy and need to run and be active a lot or they can get destructive. They are a pretty smart breed, which can be cool, but it means that they can get bored easily and they can be a handful unless well trained.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Productivity is good, askye. Good for you.

Suzi, my heart goes out to your friends. I hope they can salvage their belongings before the auction. All the best to them.

Maria, just-- Ignore the mfs. They're not being helpful and if they can't be helpful, they get ignored. Or smacked down. Or ignored if they're lucky. I'm sorry.

sj, was H's hubby in an alarming state of deshabile? Do tell.

Good luck with the critter, Hil.

No, he was eating dinner and had given up on the concept of actually attending his meeting. So, he had to shovel down his dinner, make sure the meeting was still happening, and rush out the door. G was happy to see me. I was afraid he was going to get upset Daddy was leaving. Now we're watching a Star Wars cartoon.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Thanks. One of my friends, who's a vet, mentioned that too. I'll meet this dog and talk to the people at the shelter and find out more about her. If it doesn't seem like she's the right dog for me, then I'll wait for a different one.

G is digging his little foot into my side. So I tell him he's hurting me, which gets big laughs from him. 4 year olds are weird.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

That seems to be an age for hitting and kicking and all that stuff. I was hanging with a friend's son at a parade and he was totally in that stage.

Jack Russells can also be barky and can jump crazy high.

G went to bed for me! I have never put him to bed before, only naps on the couch. So I was nervous he would throw a tantrum.
