Zen, would podcasts help at all? Sounds weird, but when I HAVE TO focus on something, but JUST CAN'T FOCUS, sometimes putting on a podcast helps distract my brain enough that the part that's BORED with the doc I'm proofing (or whatever) is engaged, and the leftover part can keep reading. (Recommended by an also-ADD-friend, though she uses audiobooks. I'm cheaper than her and podcasts are free).

Timer method not working, it's just annoying me. I have Ghost Hunters reruns playing off the DVR, which is my version of podcasts, usually that helps me focus, but not today.
Part of the problem is the sheer overwhelming amount of work. (My boss has decided we have to do a Project that will take two days out of my already-tight schedule.) A large amount of work makes me dive in and get it done. An impossible amount of work makes me say fuck it and wander off to do something else.

Smonster, KD Lang just sang "My Last Cigerrette" on my iPad. And I was thinking of you. How goes the quit smoking thing? So proud of you! I quit mostly cold turkey. But then again, I only smoked for a couple years in high school. But still had cravings for YEARS! And sometimes, when I smell a ciggy being lit, I crave it. But then I recall the taste, and how my clothes smell nasty, and the cost. And that puts me off. Yes, I quit when NY raised the taxes so it went from 75¢ a pack to $1!
