Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

We use this--the center one, though I want to try the chai. I think some of you might like the axylotl one, though.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, don't bother, thanks. Apparently my grandmother believes the W-S kind has some sort of magical properties, so I was hoping to find a more-available replacement.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Now I have to go there, just to wander and soak in the sight of all that stained glass and architecture and sculpture.

You'll have to plan carefully because it's only open to the public one day a year. Which is why more people haven't already seen it, I guess.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

drinking chocolate:hot cocoa as havarti:american cheese

or thinks me. Mmmmm, liquidy melted chocolate. We have a dessert place called pix patiserrie and i once got the most astonishing drinking chocolate there, it was like smooth warm ganache. I couldn't even finish my cup it was so rich (and all ya'll who have ever dined with me know that i am no wuss when it comes to rich chocolatey goodness!). Good stuff.

Even if I lurk outside the doors and look pitiful? They won't let me in? Foo and darn. I shall just have to, as you say, plan carefully.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The best hot chocolate I ever had was in Paris at a Salon de The that had a family recipe that they'd handed down for a hundred years. Lifting the lid on that pot was like a chocolate bong.

Maybe I could write you a note: "Bev appreciates beauty on a particularly spiritual level. Other beauty seekers are mere philistines compared to Bev's rapturous indulgence in the bounty of the world. Please let her in or she'll make puppy faces all day."

German gasthaus, edge of an alpine lake at dawn. Cold to the bone. Hot chocolate served in a silver pot, made with unpasteurized milk straight from the cow, no sugar, with a mountain of whipped fresh cream on top. And a bowl of extra whipped cream, in case you ran out.

Mercy.

That should do it. Thank you!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I guess [link] isn't the Williams-Sonoma thing you want.

Dagoba is another one I love, Bev! The xocolatl is in my cupboard as a matter of fact, and it's good but I just don't want it all that often. Is that the one that has the "stir eleven times in a clockwise direction, and then eleven times counter-clockwise while thinking good thoughts" directions? Because I find myself doing that whenever I am stirring anything, now, wherever I got it.

Edited for correct name, wth brain?
