I think I'm fairly developed but I wouldn't want to hang out with that person. It would be rough to be judged inferior by a bot.
Jossverse 1: Emotional Resonance & Rocket Launchers
TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.
my ideal -- good food, but not snobby about it. Actually I know a chef -- she is really good at the food and wine pairing, but price or rareness isn't a part of it. And other than that I'd want somebody that has a wide range of interests, that has conversation not lectures. summary: I'd want an interesting dinner companion. Maybe slightly more interested in pop culture than DH so I could discus some of the 'less good' shows that I watch.
Snerk, Jon.
An emotionally mature person wouldn't try to make someone, is my feeling.

There's that, yes.
That's true
and emotionally immature. Given that he can make anyone he wants, he chooses someone who plays video games and laser tags and loves junk food.
I was going to agree, but then I realized I was posting on a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" posting board, and realized I probably shouldn't throw stones. IJS. (:

Well, there is that. And while I agree (my own joke aside) that Topher's immature, that's not an adjective I'd throw at Adelle, and she made herself the perfect lover for a few repeate engagements. But again, the sex didn't seem to be the priority there, either. It's the loneliness and alienation.

Yeah, this. I have no thoughts on the recent ep as I'm on the road, but overall, definitely this.
The original pitch was the Dollhouse was good from Joss, but FOX wanted it to be evilish, so it changed as they went along. It's covered in that interview I linked a few pages ago.
I think we all use each other in life. The Sierra/Topher thing made me cry for this reason: I just spent the weekend messing around (erm, not that kind of messing around) with the actress, Dichen Lachman, in the UK. 'cos I paid for the experience at a convention. And then she went away. And I sit here, in my flat, alone. It was a curious feeling.

So was there no sex with dolls in the original plan?
There was sex.
