Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

And Erin follows that up with:

Barb, if I have to take a job as the Tooth Fairy to make ends meet while writing, you are taking up a collection to fly me to the next RWA meeting to accompany you as the Motherfuckin' Muse Fairy.

I'll be on a panel, and I'll thwap people with a Nook: "Here, your fucking writer's block is gone. Now you have a concussion. Getcha ass in the chair anyway, and write some shit. That scene needed a little hot blood anyway. Now, get the Muse some potato skins and a gimlet before I condemn you to a life of Mary Sues."

I'm catching up in Natter today:

Sophia Brooks: I have had multiple people ask me why I worked, since I claim to lean toward socialism. I think they think if you believe in socialism, it means that you want "something for nothing" and are lazy and just want to lay around and have everything given to you.

Jessica: To be fair, I do want this. But as a lifestyle, not a political system.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Allyson in Natter:

I'm still trying to get over the fact that pineapples don't grow on trees. You could have waited a couple of years for me to accept this before laying this banana shit down at my feet.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Toddson in Natter:

You know what's ordinary? The sun comes up in the morning and goes down at night. The seasons turn, plants grow, die, and new ones grow. People come together and sometimes they're nasty, but as often as not they're kind to each other. They make new people, and those people grow, and the cycle repeats. And, sometimes, a group of people find each other and provide support, encouragement, laughs and tears.

Ordinary isn't so bad.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Tommyrot, in Natter:

My Bear Contingency Plan consists of pointing off to the side and saying, "Hey look--Goldilocks!" and then running away while the bear is distracted.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

leN sums up one of my core beliefs in Bitches:

Vortex,

I'm not seeing the glitter problem. Glitter is awesome.

Please explain.
